Making Bath Salts:

Making Bath SaltsMaking your own home made bath salts is very simple and very easy on your pocket book!  There are a lot of people (potential customers) that will pay good money for high quality bath salts.

To make a small batch of home made bath salts, start with a bath salt blend from a local supplier.  These bath salts may be found at the same supplier you buy your soy candle products from.  One of my favorites for bath salts is www.saveonscents.com.  Their bath salts perform wonderfully and I have gotten good reviews from my customers!

Start with 1 cup a bath salt blend and add 1/8 to 1/2 cup of Epsom salts.  Epsom salts may be found at your local drug store or discount shop.  Mix the two together thoroughly.  To this mixture add 1/4 ounce of fragrance oil and a drop or two of liquid dye if you prefer your home made bath salts be colored.

After you have mixed your home made bath salts together, spread them evenly on a cookie sheets and allow them to rest for 8-10 hours.

Your home made bath salts are now ready to be used, packaged as a gift, or shipped to your customer.  You may also put your ingredients in a bag and shake them up.  This causes less dirty dishes and calms the potential mess!

Feel free to experiment with sea salts, and other additives as you see fit, but this basic bath salt recipe is a wonderful combination.

Good luck with your home made bath salts!
